Napa Valley ~ Beautiful Wine Country

This post is long overdue, but I finally got it done! My parents joined Anthony and I for a weekend getaway last fall. We stayed in Winsor, CA the first night and spent the second night in Fairfield, CA. The weather was perfect and we had such a relaxing time! The Napa Valley is a beautiful place to visit and explore.

We had a little trouble finding a restaurant our first night, but ended up a cute little place that was serving Prime Rib...yum! We were starving and it was perfect!
We rode a gondola up to the top of hill and toured the Sterling winery. It was beautiful! The tour was mostly outside and the views were spectacular. We found out that the leaves on the grape vines turn color in the fall as well. We never realized that before, but the various colors were gorgeous...orange, red, and yellow. God's creation always amazes me when I take the time to really look at it and appreciate it!
We visited a variety of wineries, each one unique. We even went to castle, which took years to build because each stone was laid by hand. It was amazing! The last day, we ate at a place called Taylor's Refresher, which is known as one of the best hamburger places in the country! They're food is so good!
Our trip was a lot of fun! We visited beautiful places, ate great food, and made lasting memories. Thanks, Dad & Mom, for coming with us and making the trip so much fun! We love you!

Visit with Grandma

I had a chance to go and visit my Grandma (my Dad's Mom) in Idaho a couple of weekends ago. She will be 88 this August - Wow! She is having a hard time with her diabetes, but we were able to have a wonderful visit. We looked at photo albums, remininced about awesome memories, got caught up on how all the family is doing, and watched a Gaither video - of course! My Grandma has quiet the collection and it's always fun to watch them with her.

My parents were there visiting at the same time so we had to get some cute pictures :)

We also got to have lunch at Red Robin with my Dad's brother, Dan and his wife, Barbara and my Dad's sister, Judy and her husband, Wally. It was nice to be able to see them and catch up.

It's hard that my Grandma lives so far away, but it was so nice to see her. I miss her a lot and pray that she stays healthy and as pain-free as possible!
