Our 3rd Anniversary

On July 9th, we celebrated our 3rd anniversary. In some ways, three years has flown by, but in other ways, it seems like a lifetime. It's hard to even remember what life was like before we got married. God has tremendously blessed our life together.

To celebrate this year, we had dinner on the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant. It is a historical tram that has become a restaurant on wheels - the first travelling tramcar restaurant in the world. For three hours, the tramcar travels around the City and through some of the inner suberbs. We had such a good time seeing all the sights, eating some really good food, and reminiscing about the last three years.

They served an amazing 5-course gourmet dinner. I tried to get a picture of each course for you. Some of them were hard to get, but you get the idea :) We were able to try some new kinds of foods that we might not have tried otherwise and everything was really good. They let us take home the menu as a souvenier, so here's a recap of our dinner.

Course 1: Two Dips: Liver Pate' and Roasted Red Pepper - served with two different kinds of crackers. Sorry, I didn't realize the glasses were in the way when I took this :)

Course 2: Anthony ordered the grilled kangaroo loin with a tomato & chili jam and a vegetable & chive frittata. I ordered the smoked salmon with avocado mousse. (Yes, they actually eat kangaroo here and it's not bad...it's actually pretty mild).

Course 3: We both ordered the filet mignon with fresh green beans and a potato & herb rosti. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted so good.

Course 4: Cheese & Crackers, dried fruit, and fruit bread. I could hardly eat any of it because I was sooo full, but everything was really good! This was Anthony's favorite course.

Course 5: Anthony ordered the warm sticky date pudding with caramel sauce and fresh cream and I ordered the white chocolate and passionfruit mousse with praline and vanilla raspberry syrup. Both of them were really good, but we could only eat a few bites. The next two pictures have a lot of "white" in them, so everything kind-of blended together. Sorry they're not the best pictures.

After dinner: Can you believe there was more?? After dessert, they came around with coffee and little chocolates. We only drank a few sips because we were so stuffed! :)

We stopped in Albert park for a short ten-minute break to take pictures and stretch our legs. We saw a possum in the tree. They are a lot cuter here than the ones we have back home. Some of the people were feeding it.
We took one last picture when we got home. It was such a fun evening and a great way to spend our anniversary!

Happy anniversary! What an exciting time for you! I certainly understand how time flies when God is blessing your marriage. I can't believe Jeff and I have been married only six months. It feels much longer! :)

Love,
